Job summary

Baker Commodities, Inc. is seeking a Customer Relations Representative to identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers across Maine and surrounding states.

The role requires 75-90% travel, exceptional communication, and the ability to work independently. You will coordinate with management, support service delivery, and pursue account recovery when needed.

Qualifications

• Travel 75-90% to customer locations.
• Valid driver''s license with an acceptable MVR.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in restaurant/food industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new business and maintain the existing customer base in meat, fish, food processing, and restaurant industries for services.
• Communicate with customers to ensure they are receiving proper service and identify additional needs or equipment.
• Meet with canceled accounts to determine reasons and attempt to regain them.
• Schedule meetings with customers and set up cold calls in areas identified by management.
• Communicate with customers and all levels of company personnel.
• Meet/communicate with inspectors involved in regulatory compliance when needed.
• 75-90 percent of the day will be in the field visiting customers.
• Prepare customer setup sheets and enter new customer information into routing system.
• Provide daily reports to management.
• Follow up on stops with no material picked up to determine rerouting needs.
• Interact professionally with others and follow procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.
