Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Field Account Representative in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on outside B2B sales, managing about 85 existing medium customers with a roughly $2M portfolio. You will meet face-to-face, develop territory plans, and promote Grainger’s value proposition across MRO needs.

You will travel within the territory, build relationships, and leverage resources to deliver timely, valuable meetings and close deals. This is a hybrid role with benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years of sales experience.
• Ability to travel and occasional overnights.
• Respond effectively to customer needs with high service quality.
• Influence outcomes through logical reasoning, clear communication, and relationship-building.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Create a territory plan assessing customer needs and targets.
• Build and execute account plans to grow customers and relationships.
• Leverage resources to plan timely, valuable customer meetings.
• Maintain an active pipeline and drive profitable sales.
• Use CRM to prioritize leads and track interactions and progress.
• Expand customer contacts to uncover additional opportunities.
• Use multiple channels to increase sales and provide real-time solutions.
