Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject‑matter expert on access issues for HCPs and HCOs. This remote/field‑based role partners with patient support, market access, and field sales to ensure timely patient access to therapy.

You will analyze access trends, educate providers, and coordinate with hub vendors to resolve coverage barriers while complying with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in patient support, pharmaceutical/healthcare sales or operations, or reimbursement support.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access, including benefit verification and prior authorization.
• Analyze access trends and barriers to patient access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support patient access and satisfaction.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless access to therapy.
• Monitor payer trends and educate HCP offices on coverage under various plans.
• Educate field teams on hub programs and payer processes.
