Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider, or equivalent) on real construction projects. You will capture, verify on-site, process in Artec Studio, and deliver meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD outputs for client use.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld structured-light or laser scanner on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software; mesh cleanup and registration.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading structural/fabrication drawings.
• Comfort on active construction sites and in industrial plants; able to carry equipment and travel.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; willing to travel and fly with equipment.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans before pours and for various structures and components.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify data capture on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to STL, OBJ, E57, and CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, measurement reports, and coordinate reports against drawings.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
