Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo/Eva/Space Spider or equivalent) on concrete, steel, and pipe projects.

You will capture data on site, verify it, and process it in Artec Studio, delivering scan-to-CAD outputs and measurement reports to clients. Some travel and on-site work are required, with overtime during pours and plant windows.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld scanner on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable software for mesh cleanup and registration.
• Familiarity with reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable on active construction sites and able to carry equipment, climb, and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record; able to travel with equipment.

Mansioni

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans before concrete placement and on sites with challenging conditions.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlap zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, and export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates against drawings or CAD.
