Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on construction sites, capture data, and deliver scan-to-CAD files and reports using Artec Studio. The role involves scanning rebar mats, embeds, pipes, and machine parts, verifying captures on site, and processing data for client-ready outputs.

You will travel to regional hubs, work on active jobsites and industrial plants, and build expertise toward lead technician roles while earning $26–$40 per hour

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld scanner on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio or comparable scan-processing software; mesh cleanup, registration, and export.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and reading structural or fabrication drawings.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record; willingness to travel and fly with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement, failed and damaged structures, corroded pipe and tanks, fabricated steel and precast, machine parts, and modular units.
