Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing national client base. This role goes far beyond basic cable testing—one day you may certify fiber links with an OTDR, and the next you’re troubleshooting network impairments or performing fusion splicing.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources and certification equipment.
• Understanding of single‑mode and multi‑mode fiber systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• 1+ year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience, and one of the following: FOA Certification, CFOT Certification, BICSI Certification, Network+ Certification, OR 5+ years verifiable Fiber, IT, or Telecom field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic testing and splicing tasks across environments.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing; certify fibers.
• Identify faults and perform fault-distanceing.
• Inspect and clean connectors; replace damaged jumpers.
• Install, terminate, and test fiber cabling; document results.
• Work independently across various facility types nationwide.
• Maintain professionalism with clients and project stakeholders.
• Accept service requests within territory; after-hours availability is a strong advantage.
