Hardy Industries seeks skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. You will perform OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fault analysis, and field installations across diverse environments.

Candidates should have fiber testing experience, relevant certifications, a valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle. This 1099 role offers travel pay and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment, and visual fault locators.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic systems.
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• At least 1 year of Fiber, IT, or Telecom experience, or 5+ years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of fiber optic tasks, including fusion and mechanical splicing.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing; certify fiber.
• Identify fault distances and fiber continuity; document results.
• Inspect and clean connectors; remediate as needed.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber links.
• Diagnose customer-premise and network impairments; report findings.
• Work across diverse environments and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
