Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our nationwide client base. You will perform fusion and mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, and fiber certification, troubleshoot impairments, and document results.

This field role covers diverse environments from retail to data centers with a flexible contractor schedule. Ideal candidates have 1 year of fiber/IT/telecom experience or 5+ years in the field, a valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle, plus

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber systems.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter testing, light source testing, and fiber certification.
• Identify faults and perform connector inspection, cleaning, and remediation.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
