Job summary

Metronet in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Fiber Technician to install and troubleshoot high-speed fiber internet for residential and business customers. You will perform installations and service changes from the fiber terminal to the customer premises equipment, ensuring quality connections and customer satisfaction.

You will educate customers on Metronet products, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on-call rotations with overtime and travel as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Telecom/fiber experience preferred but not required.
• Must be physically able to work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products and services.
• Assist with on-call rotations and travel as needed.
