Job summary

Metronet in Bryan, TX is seeking a motivated Fiber Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service high-speed internet and phone for residential and business customers. You will work from the fiber terminal to customer premises, performing basic to advanced installations and on-site troubleshooting.

This role requires physical stamina, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel for training. You will educate customers, support safety standards, and contribute to meeting performance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with telecom/fiber preferred but not required.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights up to 25 ft with safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premises Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
• Be professional with customers and colleagues and meet performance metrics.
• Possess flexibility for on-call, overtime, and weekend work.
