Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications network. You will perform splicing tasks, test and troubleshoot post-installation circuits, and ensure standards are met for safe, reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at varying heights, from underground to above ground.
• Complete basic daily vehicle maintenance and document work in reports.
