Job summary

Trawick Construction Company, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. Your splicing work is essential for strong, reliable connections, with duties including cable upgrades, testing, activation, and post-installation troubleshooting to keep data flowing smoothly.

This role involves climbing poles or working at heights, operating both underground and aerial routes, and documenting daily production in reports.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam for a valid medical card.
• 6 months splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including maps and material usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
