Job summary

Clearfield is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver product, technology, and industry training to customers, partners, and internal teams. The role involves curriculum development, instructional content, and on-site field training, including first-time installations and certifications such as FOA where applicable.

You will work with engineering and applications teams to create schedules, plan training, and maintain up-to-date materials while staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the communications, telecommunications, fiber optics, or related technical industry
• Demonstrated experience in technical training, instructional delivery, curriculum development, or workforce education preferred
• Relevant industry certifications preferred, including FOA, ETA, BICSI, or other industry-recognised credentials
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and instructional delivery skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver product, technology, and industry-related training programs to customers, partners, and internal employees
• Develop and maintain training curriculum, instructional materials, and technical documentation
• Support customer implementations including first-time installations and field training
• Coordinate training initiatives with Applications Engineering and cross-functional teams
• Develop schedules, agendas, and learning objectives; maintain training materials
