The Light Brigade, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Instructor to deliver hands‑on fiber optic training and support course development for our specialty data center programs. The role may include theory delivery in virtual classrooms and expansion into other Light Brigade courses as needed.

Ideal candidates excel in clear communication, attention to detail, and engaging with students, customers, and internal teams. Requires extensive travel to customer sites and training facilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in fiber optics including data center applications and test equipment.
• Ability to convey fiber optic theory to beginners and professionals.
• Assess classroom audience and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Deliver training in-person and in a virtual classroom.
• Create, edit, and review educational content for presentations and printed materials.
• Strong communication and attention to detail; ability to engage with teams, customers, attendees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Light Brigade and customer-specific content for classes.
• Submit paperwork for billing and class close-outs.
• Onboard or cross-train new and existing Light Brigade instructors and contractors.
• Update and create course materials with the Learning Development team.
• Assist warehouse staff with equipment needs.
• Travel ~85% (40 weeks per year), including potential weekend travel.
