Job summary

E2 Optics is hiring a Fiber Splicing Technician to install, terminate, and splice fiber cables in dynamic data center environments. You will read splice records, interpret blueprints, and support installation tasks alongside the project team.

The role requires 3+ years in structured cabling, familiarity with EXFO OTDR/OLTS, and willingness to travel as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required, with OSHA 30 within two weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 within first 2 weeks of role.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand splice records and splice fibers per records.
• Assist project team with installation activities.
• Terminate and breakout outside fiber; pull and splice OSP high-count fiber cables.
• Maintain job site organization and housekeeping.
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, and cut sheets.
• Travel as project requires (few to frequent overnight).
