Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician to splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiber optic networks. You will coordinate field activities, perform testing, and document results to ensure high-quality network performance for telecom clients.

The role requires OSHA 10 certification, 3+ years in fiber optics, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Salary is hourly with comprehensive benefits and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and activate underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems.
• Diagnose cable plant issues, perform end-of-line network testing, and document results.
• Read splice matrices, prints, and maps to complete fiber assignments and related documentation.
• Build, prepare, seal, and manage fiber cases and enclosures, including color-for-color splicing and jumper cases.
• Pull fiber cable through existing ducts or conduit using manual, mechanical, or blowing methods.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain project documentation and quality workmanship.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
