Job summary

Uniti Group is seeking a Construction Tech - Splicer to splice fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor and indoor settings, maintain splicing records and schematics, and support outside plant construction. Travel and overtime are required, with safety as a priority. CDL and DOT readiness are noted among qualifications.

The role involves lifting up to 75 pounds, reading staking sheets, and following strict safety guidelines on job sites in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of copper and/or fiber cable splicing experience or related Trade School certification.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
• Splice fiber optic and copper cables (loose tube and ribbon).
• Maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams; read staking sheets and blueprints.
• Support outside plant construction and safety procedures.
