Uniti Group is seeking a Splicer to join the construction team. The role involves splicing fiber optic and copper cables in diverse environments, documenting splice records, and ensuring safety on-site across multiple project locations.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, follow design engineer instructions, and be willing to travel up to half the year. CDL readiness and OSHA 10 are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret staking sheets, blueprints, and splicing diagrams.
• CDL is preferred post-hire; DOT certification pre-hire is required or targeted.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% and work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL.
• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Splice fiber optic and copper cables including loose tube and ribbon types.
• Construct splice cases with grounding, bonding, isolation, and slack storage.
• Maintain splice records, schematics, and field notes.
• Inspect lines/cables and test transmission characteristics to locate faults.
• Perform on-site safety oversight and participate in safety meetings.
• Travel to project sites and support engineering, permitting, and construction processes.
• Record keeping of route details, slack locations, and splice locations.
