Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Splicer for its construction team responsible for splicing fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor and indoor settings. You will create and maintain splicing schematics, manage outside plant activities, and support project timelines while prioritizing crew safety and accurate daily records.

The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, willingness to travel up to 50%, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass DOT certification pre-hire.
• CDL post-hire requirement.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Excellent time-management and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic and copper cables using hand tools and epoxy or mechanical methods.
• Construct splice cases with grounding and sealing; maintain splice records and diagrams.
• Read staking sheets and blueprints; ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain safety, DOT vehicle inspections, and on-site paperwork; participate in safety meetings.
