Kinetic, a business unit of Uniti, is hiring a Construction Tech - Splicer to splice fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor and indoor settings. The role involves reading schematics, maintaining OSP activities, ensuring crew safety, and documenting splice locations and drawings.

Travel up to 50% may be required, with weekend and overtime work as needed. Responsibilities include constructing splice cases, following blueprints and staking sheets, and supporting engineering and permitting

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in outside plant construction or similar field.
• OSHA 10 hour safety certification preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of year.

Responsabilidades

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy or mechanical equipment.
• Splice fiber optic and copper cables, construct splice cases with grounding and sealing.
• Prepare and maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams.
• Interpret staking sheets and blueprints and follow design engineer instructions.
• Perform field measurements and record notes for engineering changes.
• Support project contracts through permitting and construction processes.
• Measure signal strength at poles with test equipment.
• Inspect or test lines and diagnose faults; perform routine maintenance.
