Job summary

GTS, based in Canton, GA with nationwide operations, is seeking a Fiber Splicer to terminate and test aerial and underground fiber optic systems. The role includes updating project tracking information and preparing/splicing fiber optic cables to specification.

Familiarity with OTDR testing, optical power meters, and fiber identifiers is expected. Role may involve coordinating with project owners and engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older.
• Have a good driving record.
• Able to pass Background and Drug screening.
• Able to obtain DOT Medical Certification

Responsibilities

• Terminate and test aerial and underground fiber optic systems.
• Update and maintain project tracking information (production sheets, time sheets, paperwork).
• Prep and splice fiber optic cable; work with splice closures and test equipment.
