Job summary

Rapat Corporation in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks a Fiber Optic Laser Operator to join our family-owned manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, verify parts to specifications, perform tooling changes, and operate the fiber optic laser with Nesting software.

We offer a 45-hour work week, Mon-Thu 6am–4:30pm with Fri OT as needed, plus comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K with company matching, paid time off, holidays, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related education preferred.
• Prior forklift and overhead crane experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of NC and CNC equipment helps performance.
• Ability to read blueprints, job orders and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills for shop floor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Observe/verifies piece to specifications.
• Perform tooling changes.
• Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance.
• Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Prepare/stage parts for the next operation.
• Operate a Fiber Optic Laser.
• Use and understand Nesting software.
