Job summary

Smith Personnel is hiring a Fiber Optic Laser Operator for 1st or 2nd shift in Fort Worth, TX. Pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on CNC fiber optic laser cutting experience and work independently with minimal supervision in a shop setting, operating TRUMPF laser equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of CNC laser cutting experience required.
• Fiber optic/CNC laser operating experience preferred.
• TRUMPF laser experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC fiber optic laser cutting equipment.
• Set up and monitor laser cutting operations.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Perform routine machine checks and minor troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow production schedules and work instructions.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Position Overview

Smith Personnel is hiring experienced Fiber Optic Laser Operators to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with CNC laser cutting equipment and be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a shop environment.

This position focuses on operating TRUMPF laser equipment used in a manufacturing operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of CNC laser cutting experience required
• Fiber optic/CNC laser operating experience preferred
• TRUMPF laser experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and resolve minor machine issues
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow safety and production procedures
