Job summary

Rapat Corporation, a multi-generational family-owned industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Fiber Optic Laser Operator in Minnesota. The role involves reading blueprints, verifying parts to specs, tooling changes, daily inspections, and assisting with basic repairs while operating a fiber optic laser.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related education is required.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of NC/CNC equipment.
• Read blueprints, job orders and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints to ensure correct fabrication.
• Observe and verify parts meet specifications.
• Perform tooling changes as needed.
• Carry out daily inspections and routine maintenance.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Prepare and stage parts for the next operation.
• Operate a fiber optic laser.
• Use Nesting software effectively.

What You'll Do:

• Read and understand blueprints
• Observes/verifies piece to specifications
• Perform tooling changes
• Perform daily inspections and complete routine maintenance
• Assist maintenance/service technicians with troubleshooting and basic repairs
• Prepare/stage parts for the next operation
• Operate a Fiber Optic Laser
• Ability to use and understand Nesting software

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of related education
• Previous forklift and overhead crane experience
• Knowledge of NC and CNC equipment
• Read and understand blueprints, job orders and work instructions
• Basic computer skills

Shift:

• Full-time
• Mon -Thu 6am – 4:30pm Fri OT as needed
• 45-hour standard work week
