Confidential Search is seeking a Vice President of Engineering & Construction to lead large-scale fiber network expansion. You’ll own all engineering and construction for growth programs, translating strategy into capital‑efficient execution, supervising a large technical workforce and contractors.

The role requires 10+ years in OSP engineering/construction with leadership, strong financial oversight, and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in OSP engineering and/or construction with increasing leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years managing large teams and contractor networks in capital‑intensive environments.
• Demonstrated success driving FTTH or major OSP construction programs at scale.
• Strong financial management capabilities for capital projects.
• Executive‑level communication skills and presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead long‑range and annual planning for fiber network expansion programs.
• Convert strategic objectives into executable build plans and capital deployment strategies.
• Oversee capital programs exceeding $150M annually with cost‑per‑passing focus.
• Direct all OSP engineering & construction: permitting, materials, field ops, restoration.
• Refine processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Establish KPIs and disciplined operating cadence for program performance.
• Design and optimize organizational structures and contractor models.
• Recruit and develop high‑performing leaders and technical teams.
• Champion accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships with performance standards.
• Collaborate with network planning, finance, operations, legal, and commercial.
• Support organizational priorities in a dynamic environment.
