Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Construction Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of fiber network construction projects from concept through completion. You will lead end-to-end deployment, manage engineers, contractors, and external vendors, and coordinate permitting and right-of-way to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budgets, and quality standards.

This role requires strong communication, project coordination, and proficiency with Excel and project scheduling tools,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in OSP fiber construction, telecommunications, or network deployment.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic network infrastructure.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and construction activities.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber deployment practices.
• Understanding of permitting, right-of-way, and construction processes.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and project scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of fiber optic network construction projects.
• Manage engineering firms, construction contractors, and external vendors.
• Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate permitting, construction activities, and project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Track project progress and provide stakeholder updates.
• Support network acceptance, testing, and operational handoff.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program management teams.
