Job summary

gFiber is hiring a Technical Operations Drops Manager to lead a team of internal contractors and vendors in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You will own vendor performance, schedule adherence, and cost and quality goals for on-site drops installations.

You will forecast needs, manage field escalations, ensure safety, and collaborate across departments to improve installation processes while reporting performance to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years in a vendor management role with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Experience managing telecom infrastructure and FTTH/OSP projects.
• Experience managing capital, operational, and technical programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day tickets issued to vendors to ensure timely drop installation.
• Develop forecasting models and coordinate with vendors for build schedules.
• Contact customers to resolve installation roadblocks and manage escalations.
• Approve field estimates and ensure excellent customer service.
• Ensure Health and Safety standards and coordinate quality inspections.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve drops, installations, or repairs issues.
• Work with vendors to improve procedures and report market performance.
