Job summary

Sundance Institute in Boulder, CO is seeking a Festival Transportation Coordinator to manage logistics for the Sundance Film Festival. You will work under the Festival Manager, Transportation to ensure smooth transport operations and timely actions.

This temporary, full-time role runs Oct 14, 2026 to Feb 19, 2027, with extended hours and a hybrid in-office schedule in Boulder. You will coordinate with vendors, track data, manage timelines, and report on transportation performance daily.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in event transportation, production, operations, or related.
• Ability to drive a 16’ to 24’ box truck with lift gates.
• Valid driver's license and DOT medical/ability to obtain one.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to move items up to 50-75 lbs and drive in winter conditions.
• Knowledge of the Boulder, CO area is helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
• Knowledge of FileMaker Pro or other relational databases preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist translating the approved transportation plan into an implementable schedule.
• Coordinate with vendors to secure items per plan.
• Update tracking documents from prior years for the Festival.
• Help set up and tear down barricades at Boulder locations.
• Liaise with the department at onsite vendor meetings.
• Set and reset venue footprints daily during the Festival.
• Track ridership on the Longmont route and return trips.
• Create spreadsheets capturing data for historical use.
• Collaborate on the transportation timeline and tasks.
• Support the team to stay on schedule and meet deadlines.
• Track transportation expenses and flag unexpected costs.
• Collect daily bus data and include in reports.
• Gather pick-up/drop-off data for future years.
• Support other projects and complete a wrap report.
