Job summary

The Junior Network Administrator at Sundance Institute will oversee the installation, management, performance, and security of the Sundance Film Festival network and internet services while coordinating with staff across Institute offices to provide logistical support and document changes.

This temporary, full-time role runs December 2, 2026 through February 12, 2027 and is based in our Boulder, CO office, serving onsite in a hybrid capacity with occasional on-call needs during the festival

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in LAN/WAN management and administration, including configuration, troubleshooting, planning, designing, implementation, and user support.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects.
• Understanding of network security and related practices.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up, and maintain a TCP/IP LAN and WAN, including routing and QoS.
• Provide technical resources for Technology Services by supporting systems (card readers, cameras, reports, databases).
• Plan for, implement, and support a complex WiFi infrastructure and WAN for the Sundance Film Festival and festival venues.
• Ensure responsive support during outages and restore functionality in a timely manner.
• Evaluate network hardware, software, and services and manage equipment support.
• Maintain detailed network design documentation for the Sundance Film Festival.
• Plan for networking needs for other fall/winter Institute Labs and events.
