Job summary

Pixel is seeking a Pharmacy Data Specialist for our Cedar Knolls, NJ office. This full-time, on-site role supports order intake, data entry, and prescription processing to keep patient information accurate and complete.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and Patient Care Coordinators to resolve questions, ensure privacy and compliance, and maintain smooth pharmacy workflows with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in pharmacy operations or related pharmacy environment.
• Active NJ pharmacy technician registration.
• Willingness to obtain registration in Texas and other states as needed.
• Experience reviewing prescription information including medications, dosage, directions, quantities and supplies.
• Experience with benefits analysis and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Review and process incoming prescriptions and order information via fax, email, and other channels.
• Enter patient, prescription, medication, dosage, supply, and order data into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Check prescription information for completeness and identify missing or unclear details.
• Perform benefits analysis and enter insurance information to support order processing.
• Confirm key information is captured before orders move through the workflow.
• Route non-prescription documents to appropriate department promptly.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and Patient Care Coordinators to resolve questions and complete orders.
• Maintain awareness of order status and turnaround expectations for timely patient updates.
• Maintain accurate patient records following privacy and pharmacy procedures.
• Prioritize incoming work based on urgency and workflow.
• Identify recurring intake issues and escalate appropriately.
