Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fence Installation Driver to deliver, install, remove and repair temporary fencing, ensuring safety and courteous service at each customer site. You will lead on-site preparation, set fence poles, install fencing, and coordinate with the Fence Installation Associate, while following safety protocols and company policies.

This role emphasizes strong driving records, excellent communication, and the ability to work in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record; ability to drive day or night.
• 1 year of truck driving experience; CDL preferred; DOT medical card required before starting.
• 2 years fencing/construction experience preferred.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of safe driving procedures.
• Ability to locate underground utility markings and follow safety requirements.
• Forklift operation ability (training provided).
• Excellent customer service, communication and positive attitude.
• Ability to mount/dismount trucks repeatedly.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds frequently (more with assistance).
• Work in all weather and customer environments.
• Some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Operate fencing truck daily and ensure load securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and tools.
• Ensure truck is loaded with necessary equipment for installations.
• Meet with customers to review projects and follow-up during installation.
• Prepare job site and set fence poles, install fence, and pull fence per specs.
• Coordinate work of Fence Installation Associate and inspect progress.
• Train Fence Installation Associate on safety protocols and techniques.
• Repair temporary fencing units at job sites as requested.
