Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fence Installation Driver to deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment with a strong focus on safety and customer service. You will work closely with dispatch to ensure timely project completion and maintain clear communication with customers at each step.

The role requires a valid license, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform pre-trip inspections. Training for safety and forklift operation is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive day or night; DOT medical card when starting.
• 1 year of truck driving experience required; CDL preferred.
• 2 years fencing/construction experience preferred.
• Strong emphasis on safety and safe driving procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
• May require weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing equipment.
• Safely operate a fencing truck and ensure load securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and tools.
• Prepare sites, set fence poles, install and adjust fencing per customer specs.
• Coordinate with the Fence Installation Associate and review projects with customers.
• Provide onsite moves, and pick-up/delivery of fencing as requested.
• Operate forklift for loading/unloading when needed.
• Assist with other equipment offerings as required.
