Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in home settings and daytime facilities. The role focuses on evaluating and treating speech, language, feeding, and related disorders in patients aged 0-21, with collaboration across a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate should hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, be CCC-SLP with CFY completed, and be licensed in Texas.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP and completion of Clinical Fellowship year.
• Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Assess and define degree and type of speech, language, voice, swallowing, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals, and advise team on speech therapy modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP assistants if you have 3+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Feeding Experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
