Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver pediatric services in patients' homes or daytime facilities. Services occur 2+ times weekly per physician orders.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, feeding, and related disorders across ages 0-21, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, educating families, and contributing to program development and staff training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification and Texas licensure required.
• Experience in pediatrics and home health preferred.
• Feeding experience required; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding and related disorders; select appropriate testing tools.
• Interpret data and prepare written diagnostic reports; plan and adjust care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients; design materials and in-service training for the program.
• Possibly supervise Clinical Fellows/Speech-Language Pathology Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Feeding Experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
