Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapy to pediatric patients (0-21) in home or daytime facilities. CFY/CCC-SLP and Texas license are required; pediatrics and feeding experience preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, valid driver’s license and auto insurance are mandatory. Responsibilities include evaluating speech, language, swallowing, and feeding impairments, interpreting diagnostics, and collaborating with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Feeding experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2+ times per week, per physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by testing
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise the team on speech therapy modalities
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training and materials
• May supervise Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or SLP Assistants with 3+ years experience

• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
