Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is looking for a skilled Speech Pathologist to provide individualized therapy for pediatric patients. You will work in a therapeutic and comfortable environment, focusing on achieving personal goals for each patient.

Requirements

• Bachelors or masters degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university
• Current Texas state license
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
