Cooper Farms is seeking a 1st shift Feed Mill Millwright Lead in Fort Recovery, Ohio. The role focuses on supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating tasks, and overseeing equipment installation and safety practices within our feed mill operations.

The position offers opportunities for hands-on leadership, with responsibilities spanning from selecting equipment to ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Active welding certification required.
• 2+ years in a designated team lead or supervisory role.
• 6–8 years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated feed mill or heavy agricultural facility.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights in a noisy, dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign, supervise and mentor a maintenance team.
• Schedule daily tasks and manage emergency breakdowns.
• Assist in selecting feed milling equipment.
• Lead assembly and installation of equipment per specs/blueprints.
• Direct welding to code compliance.

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Feed Mill Millwright Lead to join our team in Fort Recovery.

SHIFT HOURS

Monday through Friday, 1st shift hours

STARTING HOURLY RATE

Commensurate based on experience.

ADDITIONAL PAY

Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job functions include:

• Assigning, supervising, and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians.
• Scheduling daily tasks and managing emergency breakdown responses.
• Assisting with the selection of feed milling equipment.
• Leading the assembly and installation of equipment according to exact manufacturer specifications and blueprints.
• Directing or performing structural code-compliant welding
• Enforcing strict OSHA standards

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb tall structures, work at heights, and operate safely in noisy, dusty industrial environments.
• Hold or obtain an active welding certification.
• Advanced proficiency in both mechanical rigging/alignment and industrial electronic diagnostics.
• At least 2 years of designated team lead, foreman, or supervisory capacity.
• Minimum 6-8 years of industrial maintenance experience, specifically within an automated feed mill or heavy agricultural processing facility.
