Job summary

Salesforce seeks a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. You will define technical vision, bridge FedRAMP/DoD requirements with cloud engineering, and guide executive leadership and 3PAOs through secure, compliant product delivery.

You will lead architectural governance, drive risk mitigation, and collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Compliance teams to ensure scalable federal solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
• Hands-on with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and FIPS in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and design highly available federal platforms.
• Drive governance reviews and risk mitigation in complex architecture initiatives.
• Create standardized frameworks and compliant-by-default guidance for engineering teams.
• Author architecture specifications, SSPs, and portfolio strategy documents.
