Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to lead FedRAMP High, IL5, and DoD authorizations across AWS GovCloud / Azure Government.

You will set technical vision, bridge compliance directives with cloud engineering, and act as trusted advisor to executives and federal authorities. You will guide architectural standards, run governance reviews, develop compliant-by-default frameworks, and mentor engineering leaders while communicating complex security

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP IL5/Moderate, DoD IL5).
• Proven track record as principal architect driving cross-organizational strategy.
• Deep mastery of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FIPS 140-2/140-3, and DoD SRG/DoD.
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Experience leading 3PAO assessments and FedRAMP/DoD authorization cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executives and federal officials.
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CISM.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural standards and design highly available federal platforms achieving FedRAMP High and IL5 DoD.
• Evaluate feasibility of complex architecture initiatives and conduct governance reviews.
• Create reusable design frameworks with compliant-by-default guidance.
• Explore emerging cloud patterns and balance delivery speed with federal compliance.
• Translate NIST, DoD requirements into scalable architectures across AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
• Drive end-to-end accountability for compliance across the platform lifecycle.
• Define standardized frameworks, ConMon practices, and improve developer productivity.
• Author architecture specs, SSPs, and strategy documents for executives and regulators.
• Engage with senior leaders, 3PAOs, sponsoring agencies, and AOs.
• Coach architects and engineering leaders in problem-solving and business acumen.
