Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking eligible students for Federal Work-Study roles at the Lake County campus. Current Ivy Tech students in eligible academic courses may apply and should include their Student ID and Ivy Tech email in the cover letter.

The position pays $15.00 per hour, up to 20 hours weekly. Duties include delivering first-class customer service, using Microsoft Office programs, and performing clerical and basic computing tasks relevant to the department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at the Lake County campus.
• Must have FAFSA on file and be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress.
• Financial need must be determined by the financial aid office.

The Federal Work-Study Program provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay for expenses related to their education. The program encourages community service work and work related to your course of study.

Duties:

• All positions require employees to deliver first-class customer service.
• Employees must use computer software including Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) and department specific software.
• Some positions require employees to perform clerical, computing, filing, and telephone duties.
• Each position will have duties and responsibilities specific to the department.

Schedule: Up to 20 hours weekly based upon department's need and employee's availability.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at the Lake County campus
• Must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the financial aid office
• Must have financial need as determined by the financial aid office

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
