Job summary

HDR's Federal Business Group seeks a Technology Director to lead strategic technology initiatives across six Federal Market Sectors and Delivery Teams. You will drive innovation, ensure compliance with NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, and CUI, and align roadmaps with mission priorities while guiding a team of experts in secure digital delivery and AI/ML adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise technology strategy for multidisciplinary engineering or professional services.
• At least 10 years delivering projects for Federal clients.
• Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity frameworks: NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, CMMC, and CUI.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies for Federal programs with metrics to measure adoption, efficiency, and value.
• Drive technology innovation that supports Federal program performance, resilience, security, and compliance (digital twins, AI/ML, automation, secure cloud).
• Represent the FBG in enterprise technology planning, security, accreditation, data sovereignty, and CUI handling for Federal delivery.
• Participate in HDR Technology Leadership Team to drive ROI, adoption of AI/ML, automation, and innovative solutions.
• Develop and align technology visions and roadmaps for Federal Market Sectors and Delivery Teams; create a FBG Technology Strategy.
• Partner with Corporate Technology to ensure Federal compliant platforms, NIST RMF and FedRAMP alignment, secure collaboration and analytics.
• Standardize workflows and delivery practices for Federal programs with compliant data management and documentation.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of shared technology solutions, including AI/ML, for secure Federal delivery across Business Groups.
• Lead FBG proposals for investment in technology to drive innovation, quality and productivity.
• Define technology capability requirements to support Federal workloads, high-performance compute, modeling tools, and secure cloud environments.
• Participate in technology governance with a Federal compliance lens (NIST SP 800-53, RMF).
• Enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across Business Groups for DoD, Civilian, and Intelligence sectors.
• Foster Federal technology talent and workforce development in secure digital delivery and data management.
• Promote and communicate technology strategies to Federal stakeholders to maximize ROI and adoption.
• Support implementation of enterprise or shared solutions within Federal programs with compliance and lifecycle management.
• Integrate innovation with Federal risk management and compliance to align with accreditation requirements.
• Promote thought leadership in Federal technology domains through publications and industry groups.
• Provide cross-sector technology expertise for major Federal pursuits and programs.
• Develop Federal-aligned technology guidelines and validation processes.
• Lead FBG data stewardship and coordinate with HDR Data Ops to enable responsible data reuse and governance.
• Lead and participate in technology committees and working groups (CUI Steering, Enclave, Digital Design Summit).
