Job summary

HDR is seeking a Federal Business Group Technology Director to lead a strategic vision and a team implementing technology across HDR's multidisciplinary consulting practice. You will collaborate with Federal leadership, vendors, and stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and deploy technology initiatives that improve project execution and innovation.

You will drive technology innovation, ensure compliance with NIST, RMF, FedRAMP, and CUI standards, and align roadmaps with Federal priorities such as

Qualifications

• Experience directing technology strategy for multidisciplinary engineering or professional services groups.
• 10+ years in projects delivering technological solutions for federal clients.
• Knowledge of Federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST RMF, FedRAMP, CUI) and compliance requirements.
• Experience evaluating software development and deployment strategies.
• Broad understanding of technologies and their delivery in Federal sectors.
• Experience with digital delivery, modeling, data architecture and data management.
• Use of AI/ML, BIM, cloud computing, automation, and integration with production software.
• Ability to formulate and execute applied technology strategies and lead organizational change.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies relevant to Federal programs with metrics and performance indicators.
• Drive innovation that enhances Federal program performance, resilience, security and compliance.
• Represent HDR FBG in enterprise technology planning and security posture discussions.
• Participate in HDR Technology Leadership Team meetings and drive ROI through adoption of advanced tech.
• Develop and align technology roadmaps for Federal Market Sectors and Delivery Teams.
• Partner with Corporate Technology to ensure Federal compliant platforms and investments.
• Standardize workflows for Federal programs and ensure alignment with agency standards.
• Lead adoption of AI/ML, automation, and visualization tools for Federal delivery.
• Guide proposals and investments in technology to enhance quality and productivity.
• Define technology capability requirements to support Federal workloads and data protection.
• Support technology governance with a Federal compliance lens.
• Foster cross-group collaboration and knowledge sharing across HDR.
