Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subcontract Administrator for the Paducah, KY site to manage contracts, prepare RFPs, and ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, and project procedures. The role may require relocation to the job site to coordinate with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities include reviewing bid analyses, drafting subcontract documents, tracking deliverables, and ensuring adherence to schedules. A strong emphasis on safety, detailed oversight, and effective communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field required.
• 5 years of related experience required; typical 5–8 years.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expert understanding of federal and state policies and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exemplary attention to detail.
• DOE “L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE “L" clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare list of contractors to which proposals may be submitted and compile RFP packages.
• Review bid tabulations and update contract scope, terms, and commercial terms.
• Summarize bid proposals with appropriate disciplines and obtain management approvals.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients to ensure common understanding of the subcontract.
• Award contract via phone, telex, or letter and solicit awards.
• Administer and close contracts in accordance with FAR/DEAR and project procedures.
• Prepare subcontract documents incorporating changes from parties and route for signature.
• Track status of contractual deliverables and ensure compliance with requirements.
• May relocate to the job site to act as local negotiator for variances and monitor compliance.
• Monitor payment approvals to contractors and safety compliance; perform duties safely.
• Perform duties of moderate complexity and other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain safety knowledge and participate in Safety Work Groups.
