Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Subcontract Administrator to join the Paducah, KY site team. You will manage contract actions, prepare RFP packages, and coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and obtain approvals.

The role requires 5 years of related experience, BA/BS in a related field, and knowledge of FAR/DEAR. DOE L clearance or ability to obtain is required, with safety practices emphasized in all activities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of related experience; typical range 5-8 years.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expert understanding of federal and state policies and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare list of contractors to which RFPs may be submitted and compile RFP packages.
• Review bid tabulations and modify scope, terms, and commercial terms of contracts.
• Coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and advise project management for approval.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients to ensure shared understanding of the subcontract.
• Award contracts via phone, telex, or letter and manage contract closures.
• Solicit awards, administer and close contracts per FAR/DEAR and project procedures.
• Prepare subcontract documents incorporating changes to scope, terms, and commercial terms.
• Track status of contractual deliverables and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• May relocate to the job site to act as local negotiator and coordinate variances from contracts.
• Maintain safety awareness and participate in Safety Work Groups.
