Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a Structural Engineer to support federal construction and facility projects. You will evaluate structural integrity, review designs, and ensure compliance with codes, collaborating with government personnel, design teams and contractors.

Regular site visits and design reviews are required. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Structural Engineering, a PE license, and at least 5 years of experience on large federal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience on federal, USACE, DoD, or other large federal projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the structural integrity of facilities.
• Review and approve structural design plans submitted by the design team.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for structural enhancements as needed.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress.
• Verify construction activities align with approved plans.
• Address and resolve structural issues during construction.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure safety standards.
• Attend project meetings to provide updates on structural aspects.
• Participate in design reviews and provide comments on structures.
• Provide quality assurance oversight and corrective actions.
• Support safety oversight to protect workers and the public.

Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
