Qualifications

• US citizen required due to Federal work.
• Travel 50%+ is required.
• 6+ years working with or supporting the Federal Sector in DoD.
• Significant experience as Storage Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or equivalent in Federal sales.
• Proven track record selling and architecting enterprise storage in Federal accounts.
• Experience with civilian and defense or Federal environments.
• Knowledge of Federal acquisition processes, buying cycles, and contracts.
• Experience with Federal Systems Integrators and prime contractors.
• Strong knowledge of HPE Storage solutions and technologies.
• Knowledge across block, file, object/unstructured data, data protection, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and cyber resilience.
• Familiarity with competitive storage portfolios (Dell, Pure, NetApp, IBM).
• Ability to lead complex technical pursuits from opportunity to closure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead storage technical advisor and Solutions Architect for Federal accounts.
• Understand customer mission priorities, environments, acquisition strategies, security requirements, and modernization initiatives.
• Architect and position HPE storage across block, file, object, data protection, and cloud domains.
• Lead technical sales engagements from discovery through sizing, validation, PoC, proposals, and closure.
• Engage early in Federal buying cycles to influence requirements and architectures.
• Develop relationships with customer architects, engineers, program teams, and executives.
• Coordinate with Federal Systems Integrators, primes, OEMs, and channel partners.
• Translate requirements into differentiated HPE storage architectures.
• Lead competitive strategy against Dell, Pure, NetApp, IBM, and others.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, architecture reviews, and validation activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to support complex Federal pursuits.
• Maintain technical ownership through successful closures.
