Job summary

Ground Up Construction Recruiting is partnered with a general contractor to hire a Project Manager in our Albuquerque office. This role focuses on special projects for federal government work, managing projects end-to-end and walking multiple opportunities weekly.

You will estimate, perform takeoffs, manage client/subcontractor/vendor relationships, and lead 5-15+ projects across varied sizes on multi-year contracts with a laboratory client.

Qualifications

• Experience leading special projects from scope to closeout.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong coordination with clients, subs, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned special projects, task orders, and client-directed work from scope development through closeout.
• Coordinate with clients, owners, facility reps, end users, internal departments, subs, and vendors to clarify work and develop scopes.
• Perform preconstruction activities, including site walks, blueprint review, quantity takeoffs, and estimate preparation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and procurement timelines.
• Oversee budgets, cost codes, forecasting, and financial closeout.
• Direct subcontractors, vendors, self-perform crews, and project support personnel as required.
