Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to lead federal platform security and compliance initiatives. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales to architect cloud solutions that meet FedRAMP High/DoD IL5 requirements and guide customers through security posture improvements.

In this senior role, you’ll drive architectural governance, perform risk analyses, and mentor teams while engaging with executives and 3PAOs.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 7+ years leading federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP IL5/Moderate, DoD SRG/IL5).
• Proven customer-facing technical leadership in solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership & Platform Strategy: align federal requirements with platform capabilities for FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 environments.
• Evaluate technical feasibility for complex architecture initiatives and conduct governance reviews for enterprise alignment.
• Serve as a key technical liaison during customer discovery and enablement phases with compliant architecture guidance.
• Explore emerging technologies and quantify trade-offs between delivery velocity, risk and compliance mandates.
