Job summary

Library Systems & Services, LLC. is seeking a Material Handling Laborer to support a federal records program in Perris, California.

You will handle storage, retrieval, movement, and disposition of records and containers with accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities include locating and transporting records, shelving, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and performing general warehouse functions while complying with safety and records-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be able to report reliably to the Perris, California facility for scheduled on-site shifts.
• Demonstrate ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions and records-control procedures.
• Demonstrate sufficient English-language reading, basic writing, and basic numerical skills to interpret records documentation.

Responsibilities

• Locate, retrieve, remove, transport, and reshelve Federal records containers per work instructions and records-control documentation.
• Safely remove records boxes from shelving and transport containers using Government-provided material-handling equipment.
• Receive and shelve incoming records transfers, verifying records against Records Put Away Reports and other documentation.
• Prepare records for disposition by pulling containers, transporting them to review areas, palletizing and shrink-wrapping pallets.
• Maintain containers in the required sequence and verify identifying information, labels, transfer numbers, and shelf locations.
• Retrieve requested folders, files, boxes, and other records in response to reference requests and reshelve after processing.
• Identify and report missing containers, charged-out records, discrepancies, or other issues to the Team Lead.
• Complete required logs, pull lists, worksheets, and related documentation accurately and legibly.
• Perform palletizing, staging, shrink-wrapping, shelving, relocation, and general warehouse duties while protecting records.
• Meet production and quality standards with accuracy and efficiency as per agency standards.
• Protect sensitive Federal records and information (PII, CUI, etc.).
• Follow NARA safety, security, records-handling, confidentiality, and workplace policies.
